Young scientists: The BBCE project is an immense step forward for the Latvian science

“The Baltic Biomaterials Centre of Excellence (BBCE) is a colossal benefit, both for Latvia and the Baltics, but in the same time for the Europe and the entire world” – say the young scientists Kristaps Kļaviņš and Antons Sizovs in the Latvian Television 1 program “Aculiecinieks”.

Both young scientists have returned to Latvia, after many years working abroad, to continue their research career at BBCE, as group leaders. In vitro research laboratory for biomaterials will be established and monitored by the scientist within Riga Technical University –  K. Kļaviņš, while A. Sizovs, from the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, will monitor the safety and efficiency of biomaterials by conducting preclinical research.
