On the 26^th of November 2020, Head of IGCE, professor Jānis Ločs was elected as the Full member of the Latvian Academy of Sciences.

In the General Meeting eight full members, four foreign members, one honorary member and also seven corresponding members have been elected as the new associates of the LAS. The secret ballot, due to the proclaimed emergency state in the country, took place remotely.
