In 2014, PhD student Kristaps Rubenis received a six-month long scholarship from the Swiss Scholarship Foundation. The grant supports research for the PhD students and young researchers in Swiss Higher Education and Research Institutions. The projects were evaluated by experienced experts from Switzerland and Latvia, paying special attention to their scientific quality.
