Leading researcher Dagnija Loča has been awarded with the LORÉAL “Women in Science” Award for 2012. Dagnija Loča received the LORÉAL “Women in Science” Award for the development of calcium phosphate bone cements – materials close to the natural bone, which have a structure that promotes bone regeneration and gradually release the necessary drugs in the body, reducing the risk of inflammation in the postoperative period.
