On the 18^th of May 2016, the leading researcher Kristīne Šalma-Ancāne was awarded the prestigious “L`ORÉAL” “Women in Science” Latvian Award. The scientific research of K. Šalma-Ancāne is focused on the development of bone implant materials that have the potential for promoting the healing and regeneration processes of osteoporotic bone fractures.
